Ingredients for caramelized rice pudding

  • 1 cup of rice (washed and drained)
  • 2 cups of water (tea)
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar
  • 3 cups of milk (tea)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Cinnamon powder and stick for garnish

Method of preparation

In a skillet, over medium heat, cook the rice in water until it has dried and softened. Reserve. In another pan put the sugar and bring to low heat until it melts and begins to brown. Add the milk a little at a time and melt the sugar. Add the cinnamon stick, condensed milk, boiled rice and salt. Cook for 10 minutes or until thickened. Transfer to individual bowls, allow to cool and refrigerate for 2 hours. Decorate with ground cinnamon and sticks. Serve immediately.
