Italy will have the month of September marked by fashion events

The month of September will be characterized by a series of fashion events in the world and in Italy, where at least eight sector fairs are planned, with 3,500 brands on display and an expected presence of 45,000 foreign buyers.

This month’s runway calendar will open on the 8th in New York and conclude with Paris Fashion Week, which kicks off on the 25th.

Italy for its part will host a constellation of great excellences that will tell stories of raw materials, machines and collections between innovation, trends and business opportunities.

It’s called “Date – Shaping Avantgarde”, the first event is scheduled for 9 and 10 September, in Florence, and will be dedicated to avant-garde eyewear. From 15 to 18, then, Fieira Milano Rho will be the stage for the “Homi Fashion & Jewels Exhibition”, an exhibition of bijouterie, jewels and fashion accessories.

The other exhibitions of the Italian fashion system will also take place from 17 to 20: Micam, the International Footwear Exhibition, Mipel, the International Exhibition dedicated to fashion accessories, TheOneMilano, Outerwear and Haute à-Porter.

Between 19 and 21 September it will be the turn of Lineapelle, an international exhibition dedicated to the sectors of leather, accessories, synthetics, fabrics and models for footwear, as well as clothing and furnishings; Mipel Lab – an exhibition format dedicated to the sourcing of high-end leather goods where international brands and designers meet the main Italian manufacturers -; and Simac Tanning Tech, the international exhibition of machines and technologies for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries.

In total, eight fairs will bring together 3,500 brands, an increase of around 10% compared to 2022, and will host exhibitors from European, Far Eastern and Asian companies.

Countries represented include France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, India, Japan and China.

Among the trends is the green of sustainability, both in the selection of raw materials and in production, through a growth strategy in a modern economy and towards the digital transition.

Finally, Milan Fashion Week will take place between the 19th and 25th, with the presentation shows of the spring/summer 2024 collections.
