Ana Furtado celebrates 5 years of cancer remission
On her official Instagram profile, Ana Furtado shared an image of herself lying in a hospital bed, probably on the day of her last chemotherapy session. In the caption of the share, she recalled the moment and said that she is now celebrating the arrival of the cure in a month.
“Exactly 5 years ago I had my last chemotherapy session! My last victory session, as I called it. Everything passes and I’m grateful for it! And in less than a month I will be completely healed”wrote the presenter, celebrating the fight and future victory against the disease.
It is worth mentioning here that a person is considered cured of cancer after five years of remission. Remission, in turn, occurs when no cancer cells are detected by examination in the patient’s body. In the case of Ana Furtado, the celebrity is about to turn five years old without any signs of breast cancer.
Tribute to the nurse
