At CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2023, wooden panels take on new functions in decoration

In many rooms of this CASACOR Rio there are wooden panels, in the most varied shades and formats. And although in almost all of them they appear as wall coverings, in some they take on new functions.

The architect Paula Müller, for example, chose a walnut panel to camouflage the existing wardrobe in his Tu Vens Suite. The piece begins laterally and transforms into the headboard of the bed, giving a more contemporary air to the environment characterized by the classic architecture of the house, with moldings, stained glass windows and elaborate portals.

In room 021, which is almost next door, the duo Camila Simbalista and Paula Wetzel opted for a version with natural oak panels that covers almost the entire space. Highlight for use as headboardwith wooden slats and recessed lightingwhich serves as a support for works of art.

Another highlight of the exhibition is the Quintal Café and Bookstore. There, Maurizio Nobrega We opted for Canadian pine, with its knots clearly visible, to practically “envelop” the entire room, creating a chic and fresh beach hut atmosphere.
