Affectionately nicknamed “Green Hulk Cake”, Lemon Jell-O Cake is a simple, easy and very fun cake because of its color.

Recipe for 2 people.

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

Lemon cake with jelly Ingredients:

– 2 units of eggs

– 3/4 cup(s) of sugar

– 100 ml of milk

– 1/4 unit of lemon (juice)

– 100 ml of oil + a little to grease the pan

– 1/2 sachet(s) of lemon jelly

– 1 1/2 cups wheat flour + a little for dusting the pan

– 1/2 tablespoon(s) of chemical yeast

Lemon Syrup Ingredients:

– 1/2 unit of lemon (juice)

– 1 and 1/4 tablespoons of sugar, + a little if necessary

-70 ml of water

Ingredients TO FINISH

– lemon to taste (zest) (optional)

– powdered sugar to taste, dusted.

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
  2. The recipe for 2 people corresponds to a cake 20 cm in diameter or 20×20 cm *square in shape.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  4. Wash and dry the lemon, remove the zest for decoration and squeeze the juice into the cake mixture and syrup.
  5. Cut the milk with the lemon juice (see the quantity in the cake dough ingredients).
  6. Sift the flour into a bowl.
  7. Grease the pan with oil and sprinkle with flour.

PREPARATION:

Lemon cake with jelly:

  1. Place the eggs, sugar, oil, milk cut with lemon juice and lemon gelatin in a blender and blend until you obtain a smooth mixture.
  2. Then add the sifted flour and mix using the pulse function.
  3. Finally add the yeast and mix without beating.
  4. Transfer the dough to the greased pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C.
  5. Bake for about 30-40 minutes, depending on the pan chosen and the oven.
  6. To check if it is cooked, do the toothpick test: place the toothpick in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean, it is ready.
  7. Turn off the oven, remove the cake and shake it to see if it comes loose from the pan.
  8. Unmold when cold.

Lemon syrup:

  1. In a pan, mix the lemon juice, water and sugar.
  2. Place over medium heat and cook until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Turn off the heat and set aside.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Transfer the lemon cake with jelly to the plate or tray on which you will serve it.
  2. Pierce the cake and slowly pour in the syrup so that it is well absorbed by the mixture.
  3. Decorate with lemon zest (optional) and finish by dusting with icing sugar.
