Last Tuesday, 10/17, the actress Sofia Valverde left her followers shocked when she confessed to having a lump removed from her breast when she was 16. Because of the campaign Pink Octoberthe celebrity told how it all happened.
“On New Year’s Eve 2021 to 2022, I was in Rio de Janeiro and while applying sunscreen, I noticed that I had a lump on my left breast the size of a marble. As soon as I returned to SP, I sought out a mastologist to find out what might be happening.”it started.
“In February 2022 I had a puncture test and as the lump continued to grow, I was recommended surgery to remove it. So in May 2022 they had the lump removed which was already 6 centimeters large, it was the same as a tennis ball. When I was still 16, I had a lump, which thank God was just a fibroadenoma: a noncancerous breast tumor that occurs more frequently in younger women.”He added.
Awareness
“And I come here to say that it is very important that everyone is together in Pink October, which aims to share information and promote awareness about the disease; provide greater access to diagnostic and therapeutic services and help reduce mortality”he concluded.
