Pop-up polenta recipe with minced meat

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1/2 diced green pepper
  • 1 seedless tomato cut into pieces
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 600 g of minced meat
  • Salt and chopped parsley to taste
  • 2 cups (tea) of Catupiry®
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella

Cooked cornmeal

  • 1 cup and 1/2 cup (tea) cornmeal
  • 5 cups (tea) of water
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt to taste

Preparation method:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and brown the onion and garlic.
  2. Add the pepper, tomato, carrot and sauté for 4 minutes, stirring.
  3. Add the meat, salt, parsley and fry for 5 minutes or until golden and dry.
  4. Dissolve the corn flour in half the water.
  5. In a pan, over medium heat, heat the remaining water with the broth and butter.
  6. As soon as it boils, add the dissolved corn flour and salt.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, after boiling, stirring constantly until thickened.
  8. Spread half the polenta in a medium baking dish, spread the sautéed meat and cover with Catupiry®.
  9. Cover with the remaining polenta, sprinkle with mozzarella and bake in a preheated medium oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve skin immediately.
