On her official Instagram profile, Laura Cardoso, who has more than 910 thousand followers on the digital platform, shared an image edited in black and white and, unfortunately, of poor quality – pixelated – in which she appears next to Lolita Rodrigues, embraced – she and placing her hand on her friend’s belly, as a sign of affection.

In the sharing caption, Laura Cardoso described Lolita Rodrigues as a great professional who has left her mark on the country’s artistic scene. “Dear Lolita. We will miss you on television, on the radio, in life… She was a person loved by the public, by colleagues…”said the 96-year-old celebrity.

Lolita Rodrigues was diagnosed with pneumonia just over a month ago. She has since been hospitalized in the Nossa Senhora das Neves Hospital, in João Pessoa, Paraíba, where she left. Lolita, born in Santos, SP, chose the capital of Paraíba to live in 2015. Her only daughter lives there, Silvia Rodrigues.

Out of curiosity, it is worth mentioning that Laura Cardoso and Lolita Rodrigues are considered the precursors of Brazilian television. Both debuted in 1950 on TV Tupi, the first national broadcaster.
