Registration for the eleventh edition of Wings for Life world race in Brazil they are now open! In collaboration with the Red Bull Bragantino team, the city of Bragança Paulista, in the hinterland of São Paulo, will host an unprecedented event and runners will be able to participate in a special race via app around Lago do Taboão. How does it work Wings for Life world race?

With the motto “running for those who still can’t,” the race returns the entire entry fee to the Wings for Life Foundation, which funds research to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. In Brazil, amateur or professional runners will be able to participate from anywhere via the official app, which encompasses the entire racing experience, including the virtual Catcher Car. The “chasing car” accelerates after 30 minutes and the last person in the world to be overtaken by the vehicle wins. Along the route, the public will be able to follow the speed and distance of the Catcher Car in real time on the app and connect with different participants around the planet.

Since 2014, the Wings For Life World Run has visited 195 different countries and brought together 1,293,716 participants, who have covered 11,839,989 km. The event has already raised more than 43 million euros. On Brazilian soil, the race was present in cities such as Florianópolis (SC), Brasilia (DF) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and brought together big names from the sports scene, such as the great runners Carlos Burle and Pedro Scooby, the five l former Stock Car champion Cacá Bueno, world skateboarding champion Sandro Dias, Olympic champion Alison Cerutti.
