Lino Villaventura opened the last day of SPFW by celebrating 45 years of its brand. But don’t wear historical looks. In three months the designer created 75 female and male looks exclusively for the presentation.
Backstage at the Iguatemi Shopping hall, Lino spoke with the Them on the red carpet and summed up the brand’s four and a half decades in three words: “Perseverance, courage and stubbornness.”

The professor and fashion historian João Bragapresent at the fashion show, commented on Lino’s career: “45 years of fashion are not for everyone. Lino has the aim of being faithful to his own style. But he has a vision of the world that manages to renew itself every six months and maintain its own identity and have the immense ability to transform fabric into art,” he told Elas.

The result on the catwalk was exactly this. True to his style, he gave a relaxed presentation, demonstrating that he knows how to send a message to a young audience too. Models appeared in short, colorful ribbed dresses, socks and sneakers in several bright colors.
Then their party dresses appeared, to also be worn with sneakers or pumps, embroidered, stained, with disassembled or more structured volumes, in linen, technological fabrics and biodegradable nylon, which disappears after three months of disposal. Also worn with colored socks, in a cheerful and sophisticated style.
Men also came in color or basic colors, such as black and white, with overlapping socks of various shades. Capes in ombré-dyed nylon and linen completed several looks. On the catwalk, Sergio MarroneArmando Babaioff, ex-BBB Gabriel Santana presented the master’s creations.
Model Carmelita concluded the presentation with a silver dress with a pattern reminiscent of the moulage of technological fabric, which in her words resembles liquid metal. And she really remembers it. “I like to make well-made, well-made clothes,” she said. And, if she depends on her “perseverance, courage and stubbornness”, she will continue to do so for a long time to come.
