Maria is a resident of Chief Frio, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and said she had not noticed any changes in her menstrual cycle. According to Taylor’s fan, she was even bleeding on the day of the show, which he believed was her period.
Therefore, even though he felt pain that day, he continued the show normally. Between 10am and the time the gates opened, she endured the discomfort and thought it would pass. For her they were strong cramps, which she was used to; however, her pains were contractions from her pregnancy.
“As soon as I got to the chairs, the pain got a lot worse,” he said G1. “I asked my friend to take care of me so I could go to the bathroom and then to the ambulance. As soon as I got to the bathroom, I felt my water breaking. The contractions started like crazy.”
Maria listened to some songs while she was in pain, but did not see the show and was taken by ambulance to Salgado Filho hospital. From there, after having an ultrasound, she went to the Carmela Dutra maternity hospital, where she gave birth to her daughter.
“It was a total surprise,” he said. According to Maria she didn’t notice any major changes in her body or her belly.

At the hospital, because of the story, many suggested the baby’s name was Taylor. However, he says that she already had a name in mind and his daughter was called Maria Flor.
“Now I want to focus on my daughter’s health, having her be 100% and maybe one day being able to take Maria Flor to a Taylor concert,” she said.
