The institution leads the eleventh edition of the 50 best restaurants in Latin America
The 50 best restaurants in Latin America in 2023 were announced on Tuesday (28). At the top of the list is the Peruvian Maido, a place that mixes local and Japanese cuisine. Anyone who wants to eat there will have to pay at least R$850 for a vegetarian meal.
Maido works with several fixed menus called “Experience”. With fresh ingredients and non-traditional culinary techniques, the restaurant’s strong point is Nikkei cuisine (precisely the one that mixes Japanese and Peruvian influences) which mixes Japanese nori seaweed with milk. .

In total, Brazil has eight restaurants among the 50 best in Latin America: Manu, from Curitiba; Mani, from San Paolo; Yay, from San Paolo; Nelita, from Sao Paulo; Oteque, in Rio de Janeiro; Metzi, from Sao Paulo; Lasai, in Rio, and A Casa do Porco, in Sao Paulo.
