Where to buy walnuts, chestnuts and hazelnuts?

For the chef it is worth opting for emporiums and warehouses of cereals and natural products instead of looking for these products in large supermarket chains. “Because they are also importers, these shops tend to have lower prices than the markets,” explains the chef.

The quality of walnuts and chestnuts also tends to be higher in these stores. For Helô Bacellar, the great demand and renewal of this type of ingredient in grocery stores guarantees a greater possibility of finding fresher products at the time of purchase.

How to choose oilseeds?

Avoid monotony when using these products at the end of the year. “If you serve pecans with apricots as a snack, use another type of nut in salad, rice, farofa or dessert,” he advises.
