Sardine pie with tomato, recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (tea) oil
  • 1/2 cup milk (tea).
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cube of vegetable broth
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup and 1/2 cup (tea) wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 3 cans of sardines, cleaned and drained
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into thin slices
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
  • Oregano for sprinkling
  • Salt to taste for sprinkling
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling

Preparation method:

  1. In a blender, beat the oil, milk, eggs, vegetable broth and salt. Gradually add the flour and finally the yeast.
  2. Pour into a greased and floured 30cm x 22cm baking pan.
  3. Crumble the sardines, with your hands, over the dough.
  4. Arrange the tomato slices on top of the sardines and the onion slices on top of the tomato.
  5. Sprinkle with oregano and salt.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and place in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve the sardine pie with tomato.
