Destination 158 kilometers from the capital Sao Paulo combines the rusticity of a beach surrounded by the Atlantic Forest with one of the best “infrastructures” in the region
Months after the storms that devastated part of the North coast of Sao Paulo in February 2023, Juquehy It has stood up and is rattling. I have been going to the beach for many years and it was with a mixture of relief and joy that I found the destination in action at the end of October.

The common area includes a room with board games, a heated pool, and a warm hot tub, especially inviting after dark. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast buffet with breads, cakes, meats, and fruit, and eggs and tapioca can be made fresh.
Near Montão do Trigo is the Hi Hotel (8.4/10), an exclusive accommodation for adults and entirely aimed at couples that opened its doors in September 2021. It has just 17 suites, plus a spa designed by L’Occitane.
Other options a few meters from the sand are the Pousada Mata Atlantica (8.9/10) and the Admiral’s Inn (9.2/10), which have a heated pool and are located in the left corner of the beach, where the sea is calmer.
Now let’s move on to the beach accommodations. Also in the left corner, the Juquehy beach hotel (8.2/10) is a good option for those traveling with children: they enjoy playing in the nearby river, which flows into the sea, and take advantage of the entertainment team during the season. Already the Alcatraz It has a spa with hydromassage and rooms with clean and elegant furnishings.
In a more central point of the beach, the Moryba (8.6/10) is surrounded by gardens and Your home (8.3/10) has a small pool facing the beach. It welcomes adults only, offers L’Occitane services and has rooms with a hydromassage tub in the outdoor area.

RESTAURANTS IN JUQUEHY

Also in Avenida Mãoe Bernarda There are good down-to-earth restaurants that make up one of the best gastronomic offerings in the world. North coast of Sao Paulo . OR Badauê specializes in grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves. Right next door is the Sun hat where options include moqueca and crab cakes.
In the vicinity of Via Benedito Izidoro de Morães closer to the road, the Shopping Monjolo The gastronomic options are few. Among these, a kiosk Brahma beer and the Sun Juca , with good PF at honest prices. There is also an ice cream shop nearby. Rochinha (currently closed for renovations).
But one of Juquehy’s best options is across the street. A Freijo bakes delicious artisanal pizzas in a wood-fired oven and invites its customers to eat them with their hands. The round arrives at the table with cut slices and is enjoyed using only the support of the fingers and napkins, as there are no plates or cutlery. For those undecided, excellent news: each pizza can have up to three flavours.
In addition to a beautiful grand piano in the center of the room, where a musician usually performs, the fascinating environment is decorated with numerous replicas of collectible cars, motorbikes and boats.

In front of Shopping Juquehy , during the night, a craft fair is set up with stalls mainly selling jewellery. Inside the shopping center you will find the beachwear shop Mustica decorative objects Bali Express beautiful porcelain and household utensils by Amarula Emporio and toys inside The land of toys as well as a pharmacy.
To the Shopping Monjolo you can find a bit of everything: from toy and clothing stores to ThaiKesh specializing in silver rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
