We are all accustomed to the kind and sweet Disney cartoon, in the finale of which Ariel and Prince Eric get married and the terrestrial and underwater kingdoms are united. But in Andersen’s tale, everything is not so optimistic: the young man leaves the Little Mermaid to become the princess’s husband.

The main character’s sisters bring her a knife taken from the witch and say that the Little Mermaid must kill the prince and bathe in his blood: then her legs will turn into a tail again and she will be able to return to her family. But instead, the girl throws herself into the sea, deciding to commit suicide in her lover’s place.

Pinocchio kills a cricket with a hammer

From the first day of his life, Pinocchio chases the Talking Cricket out of the house, who has lived in Geppetto’s room for over a hundred years. Before leaving, Cricket said to the wooden doll: “Woe to the children who rebel against their parents and foolishly leave their father’s house! A dialogue ensues, during which Cricket convinces the wooden boy to work and study, and in the end Pinocchio, angered by the teachings, kills the “moralizer” with his hammer.

The familiar version of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale ends in a wedding. But it turns out that the story has a sequel. The prince and the young girl remain to live in his waking kingdom, they have two children, but the young man does not tell anyone about his family.

However, the prince’s mother realizes that he is having an affair and asks her son to bring his daughter-in-law and her children to meet them. The guy does it, and after that he goes to war. Then the queen orders to kill her granddaughter, then her grandson and finally her son’s wife and cook them more deliciously.

However, the butler hides the girl and children, saving their lives. The queen finds out, grabs Sleeping Beauty, her daughter and son and prepares to boil them in a cauldron, but the prince returns. Out of shame, the cannibal throws herself into a cauldron of boiling water and dies in excruciating pain.

Aladdin forces his wife to sleep with a wizard

Thanks to the lamp, Aladdin becomes rich and marries the sultan’s daughter, Princess Badrulbadur. But soon the main character loses the ship with the genie – he is kidnapped by a sorcerer. Then Aladdin is transported with the help of a magic ring to the captor’s palace and asks his wife to sleep with the sorcerer in order to distract him while Aladdin himself searches for the lamp.
