Fan
“One of the most effective ways to combat condensation is to improve air circulation,” says Mohammed Ahmed, creator of home improvement advice site The Home Guidance. He advises not to forget about ventilation of rooms to reduce condensation on windows, as well as the possibility of using ventilation to avoid condensation: if installing a window fan is not possible, place -an ordinary one on the windowsill. Or watch this video: it turns out that two computer fans can solve the problem!
Heat saving film for windows
As Mohammed explains, good insulation can also prevent condensation. It is on this principle that the windows are covered with special anti-condensation films: glued to the inside of the glass, they reduce heat loss and prevent the accumulation of humidity.
Blinds and curtains will also help to insulate windows: they will create a protective barrier between the glass and the warm air in the room and prevent condensation from forming. But compared to the film, curtains have a significant disadvantage: why not keep them closed all day in winter, when there is so little light?
And finally, consider installing insulation around the windows to avoid condensation: for this you no longer need to cut newspapers, self-adhesive insulation can be purchased in any market. Using silicone seals on windows also helps with insulation, but remember that seals wear out over time and need to be replaced every two to three years.
