Brazilian stone appears in the kitchen and barbecue area of this project designed by Adriana Farias
When the young couple bought this apartment in São Paulo, they immediately called the interior designer Adriana Farias to design the new home and closely monitor the entire project.
“They chose all the details together with us and every detail was designed to make the most of the apartment: receiving friends, spending weekends, working from home, cooking and barbecuing“, says the professional.

To create a functional layout suited to the couple’s routine, the living room and kitchen have been integrated: while one watches television, the other can cook and watch TV at the same time. When they receive guests, they are all in the same environment and make the most of the entire area of the venue.

An important detail is in the kitchen countertops: the stone is a quartzite from north-eastern Brazil, originally from Ceará, called Taj Mahal. “Here it is in a polished finish. It has a bit of shine, but customers preferred it that way. It is one of the most used stones in projects today,” says Adriana.

The same quartzite was used in the barbecue area, as the stone is super resistant and recommended for surfaces where meat and other foods are handled, as it absorbs stains less easily. Cleaning is easy and practical.
