Baking strawberry cake recipe

Time: 1h30 (+2h in the fridge)

Performance: 10 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 100 g of margarine
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Cream

  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 cup and 1/2 cup (tea) milk
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 can of whey-free cream

Glossy jelly

  • 1 cup blackcurrant
  • 1 cup (tea) water
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch

Roof

  • 2 boxes of strawberries, washed and cut in half

Preparation method:

  1. Mix the dough ingredients until you obtain a coarse crumb.
  2. Cover the bottom and edges of a 24 cm diameter springform pan with this crumble or with 10 small individual pans, pressing with your hands. Prick the farofa with a fork.
  3. Place in preheated medium oven for 10 minutes. Reserve.
  4. For the cream, dissolve the cornstarch in the milk and cook over medium heat with the condensed milk and vanilla essence until it thickens.
  5. Remove and add the cream.
  6. In a saucepan, mix all the glitter jelly ingredients and cook over low heat until it thickens. Reserve.
  7. Place the cream on the dough, cover with the lined strawberries and place the glitter jelly on top.
  8. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours and then serve the strawberry cake.
