The charges against a makeup artist in the Federal District made headlines on the Internet last week

Last week, a dispute over the makeup of a bride from the Federal District made headlines on the Internet. The beautician Bruna Eloisa was accused by the makeup artist Jey Abrantes of committing a scam in order to pay the cost of a “social trick” to get married, with higher production costs for brides.

In a video published on social media, Bruna said that, while looking for professionals to do bridal makeup, she noticed that the price charged was higher than that of social makeup. So she decided to lie to the makeup artist and only pay for the basic makeup to save money.

In an interview with Earththe director of Procon-DF, a consumer protection body, Marcelo Nascimento, said that the salon cannot compulsorily stipulate the type of service it will provide to the consumer nor can it refuse to provide services to anyone willing to purchase them upon timely payment. .

“All services must be made available to the consumer who has the right to choose,” he said.

“The consumer did not even need to omit the information, since he had the right to choose the service that best suited his budget,” added Marcelo Nascimento.

The beautician Bruna Eloísa got married on the 20th. The price of the “social trick” she paid was R$160. If the service chosen was bridal makeup, the cost would be R$480.

Despite having no problem with the values, Procon-DF has informed that it will carry out a drive at the show.
