See the blocks coming out before Carnival 2024 […]
There’s still more than a week left until the start of Carnival 2024. But with this weekend’s busy schedule, Sao Paulo is already in the groove of the most anticipated party of the year.
And this year’s edition promises to be historic.
According to Sao Paulo City Hall, in 2024, there will be 579 blocks in all subprefecture regions. Among the main attractions is the Viva a Rua Carnival, responsible for some of the city’s main processions.
Let’s let Google say it.
At a recent event where the Travel by fare was present, the company released data which only shows that today the date is not part of the Brazilian’s plans.
Analyzing the searches carried out in the month of December in Brazil, Carnival was the holiday that recorded the greatest growth in searches, with 32% more searches compared to the same period in 2022. According to Google Brazil, the favorite destinations for this time of year are Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Sao Paulo (SP) and Porto Seguro (BA).
In São Paulo the program of roadblocks will be intense and, among the parades carried out by the Pipoca collective, especially in the Ibirapuera region and in the historic centre, there are Monobloco, Estado de Folia (Chico César) and Bloco da Maria (Maria Rita), among other attractions.
Check out the street blocks taking place in Sao Paulo, this pre-carnival season.
