It bets on reflecting current social concerns – such as sustainability and technology – in product design. “Timeless aesthetics is an approach that transcends passing trends, focusing on lightweight, contemporary designs that remain relevant over time. Brands that consciously opt for aesthetic longevity and durability demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of modern consumers,” he claims.

Below, take a look at some of the top home and decor trends for 2024:

Color of the year

Every year, the world’s attention turns to PANTONE, which is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on colors, and the Brazilian home and decor industry would be no different. Recently, the company announced its pick for color of the year for 2024: Peach Fuzz, which is expected to gain prominence this season.

According to PANTONE’s description, Peach Fuzz is a delicate, velvety peach tone with a captivating aura that enriches the mind, body and spirit. For home and interior decoration, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz creates a welcoming environment, transmitting sensations of softness and comfort.

Rattan and natural fibres

In a year in which a summer with temperatures above average is expected in much of the country, according to a forecast by MetSul Meteorology, it is necessary to invest in the composition of environments that reflect the freshness of nature and point to the need for environmental awareness .

ABCasa Fair has exhibitors who use, for example, rattan in their furniture, a plant that grows very quickly, about 1 meter per month.

In addition to having beautiful foliage in nature, rattan decomposes within a few years, as it is heavily absorbed by the environment. In other words, with all its features, it is a valued product and, therefore, should gain importance in sustainable decoration. Bamboo doors are also among the most desired.

Versatile fabrics and natural textures

This year at the fair the textile aspect gained prominence, with fabrics in neutral and earthy tones, reminiscent of nature. Also highlighted are fabrics for outdoors or waterproof areas.

Permanent plants

And, when it comes to decoration, permanent plants and flowers are increasingly present in homes and apartments as a decorative element that brings charm, elegance and well-being.
