– 250 g of unsalted butter
PREPARATION:
Ghee butter, originally from India, is obtained by clarification of common butter, a process that eliminates water and solid parts of milk together with lactose*. It can be used to withstand high temperatures without burning, as well as having a unique flavor, creamy texture and numerous health benefits.
- Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
- Sterilize a jar or jar for storing ghee with boiling water.
PREPARATION:
- Place the unsalted butter in a pan and heat over low heat.
- Melt the butter slowly, without stirring.
- As the butter melts, a white foam will begin to form on the surface.
- Gently remove this foam with a spoon.
- Continue to cook the butter over low heat until the liquid is completely clear and the milk solids settle to the bottom of the pan.
- When the butter acquires a golden color and a rich aroma, it is ready to be filtered.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the butter cool for a few minutes.
- Place a strainer or coffee filter over a clean glass container.
- Pour the browned butter liquid into the sieve, filtering out the milk solids.
- Discard any milk solids remaining in the sieve and store the golden liquid in an airtight jar or jar.
