Nefertiti’s Botox: discover the technique performed by Yasmin Brunet

The model, who is on BBB 24, revealed she had strategic Botox applications ahead of the show; understand the procedure

Taking over from her mother Luiza Brunet, Yasmin Brunet is known as a beauty icon. At 35, the model and BBB 24 attendee revealed her secret to maintaining a youthful appearance and striking features.

Yasmin is a fan of the technique”Nefertiti’s Botox“, which refers to the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, known throughout the centuries for her beauty, as well as the elongated neck depicted in excavated illustrations of the historical figure.

According to the owner and former president of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Luiz Haroldo Pereira, it is a strategic application of the toxin on the face and neckwith the aim of causing muscle relaxation.

“The application of Botox in this case can be done to prevent frontal and periorbital wrinkles. It is also used on the neck, when the platysma (cheek and neck muscles) is very hypertrophic. So the toxin relaxes this region, if it is it’s tense,” he explains.

With the platysma relaxed by the effect of Botox, the strength of this muscle prevents the face from pulling downwards, delaying the loss of facial contours and the appearance of sagging skin.

Recovery requires caution

According to the doctor, recovery from “Nefertiti’s Botox” is rapid and takes on average one to two days. Results also appear quickly and last 6 months to a year. “It’s an old technique and yet it continues to be in great demand,” he says.

However, like any procedure, the technique requires careful choice of practitioner. The specialist explains that if the application is not performed correctly, the patient could have consequences such as, for example, a crooked neck or mouth.

“It is reversible, but only over time. So the most important thing is to choose a plastic surgeon with experience in neck anatomy,” says plastic surgeon Dr. Luiz Haroldo.
