We tasted 10 sandwiches from different cafes and restaurants that are far from meat and shine in pairings
No one has to be a vegetable fanatic to enjoy this selection. Meatless sandwiches are increasingly tempting. The recipe, however, is not simple. We start with good artisan bread – which can range from long natural fermentation to brioche, passing through focaccia, ciabatta and even loaves (as long as they are not industrialized).

The main vegetable shares the spotlight with elements of different textures – chips, raisins, pastas, fried, jams, leaves – and flavors ranging from spicy to sweet, with an emphasis on pickles and fermented foods. To top it off, the sauces go way beyond ordinary mayonnaise.
Check out some of the best veggie sandwiches in town – which can also be ordered for delivery. Prices range from R $ 30 to R $ 45. This is not a ranking, they are presented in random order. I hope you have fun with them …
Hot cheese
From Botanikafé (BRL 32)
A simple warm cheese among the best vegetarian sandwiches in town? Yes, but simple, it has nothing. The base is a naturally fermented, toasted slice of bread. On toast, a mixture of Taleggio, Prato and English cheddar, melted. Above, another slice of toasted artisan bread, with grated Grana Padano and chopped chives. All balanced and delicious. Where is it: Al. Lorena, 1765, tel. 3064-6570 and two other addresses. 9: 00/23: 00. Delivery by Rappi.

Vegetarian Bun Bah
Make Matilda Lanches (R $ 30)
First of all a warning: beef up your supply of paper napkins, but still the chances of finishing this sandwich with clean hands are slim. Prepared in soft brioche with courgettes breaded with panko, guacamole, spicy mayonnaise, pickled red onion, tomato and lots of coriander (maybe too much, but just take it out). It is worth every filler vacation.

It is a falafel in the proportions of a hamburger that does not lose its shape, dry on the outside and with a soft filling. The bun creates a perfect contrast between flavors that complement each other and textures that differ. This excellent sandwich knows how to travel: the two slices of toasted ciabatta arrive next to each other, each with its own topping. Put the parts together when it’s time to eat.
