Interval: 00:20

TOOLS

1 bowl(s), 1 pan(es) (square), 1 board(s)

EQUIPMENT

conventional + food processor or blender

METERS

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

BROWNIE FIT ingredients (with biomass)

– 200 g of fresh or frozen green banana biomass

– 60 ml sunflower seed oil + a little for greasing (or other oil of your choice)

– 4 units of eggs

– 60 ml of filtered water (optional)

– 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla essence or as much as you like

– 2/3 cup(s) of brown sugar

– 1 cup(s) of cocoa powder b. C

– salt to taste (pinch)

– 1/2 teaspoon(s) of sodium bicarbonate b. C

– 100 g chopped walnuts (or other nuts of your choice)

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  2. To make 1 recipe with a yield of 9 pieces (corresponding to 4 portions), use a 20 cm square pan.
  3. If using frozen biomass, thaw it before use.
  4. Prepare your green banana biomass for this recipe in advance. It should be used cold. Find out how to prepare Here.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  6. Coarsely chop the walnuts or other dried fruit of your choice on a cutting board and set aside.
  7. Grease a square baking pan with oil, cover the bottom and sides with baking paper and, to be safe, grease the baking paper again.

PREPARATION:

FIT Brownie (with biomass):

  1. Into the food processor or blender, place the liquid brownie ingredients together with the biomass (oil, eggs, green banana biomass, vanilla essence).
  2. The recipe works perfectly without water, what changes is that by adding it the cooking time increases and the brownie will stay moist for longer (which is an advantage if you don’t consume it immediately). With this in mind, add filtered water (optional) – see quantity in ingredients.
  3. Blend until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth mixture.
  4. Then add the cocoa, brown sugar, a pinch of salt and bicarbonate of soda. Beat again.
  5. Finally add the chopped walnuts and mix with a spatula, without beating.
  6. Place the brownie batter onto the greased and lined baking trays.

FIT Brownie (with biomass):

  1. Place the brownie in a preheated oven at 180°C.
  2. If prepared without water: cook for about 15 minutes or until the center has firmed up: by testing with a toothpick, once positioned in the center of the cake it should still be a little dirty.
  3. If you have prepared it with water, the times will be longer: between 20 and 30 minutes, check it.
  4. If necessary, adjust the times, being careful not to overcook otherwise the cake will dry out.
  5. Remove from the oven and leave to rest in the pan until it has cooled.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Cut the fit brownie (with biomass) into squares for serving or freezing.
  2. To consume them, if frozen, remove them from the freezer and let them defrost naturally.
  3. Reheat if necessary in a preheated oven at 180°C.
  4. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days. After this period, leave it in the fridge or freeze it.
