Healthy hair all year round! The Rodrigo Cintra column shares tips for maintaining the shine and health of your hair during the summer:
The 2024 summer season has already begun and hair care becomes essential to maintain the health and shine of your hair this season. The intense sun, sea salt and chemicals added to pool water can damage the vitality and beauty of your hair, but a few simple tips will help you preserve it.
Healthy hair all year round! The Rodrigo Cintra column shares tips for maintaining the shine and health of your hair in this summer period inspired by Marina Sena, Fernanda Rodrigues, Anitta and Vitória Strada:
Marina Sena: shiny hair
One of the biggest concerns during the summer is keeping your hair shiny. Excessive sun rays significantly damage the fibers, leaving them dry, altering their color, leading to breakage, hair loss and aging. Whenever you expose yourself to the sun, use sunscreen for your hair. Spray and spread well, from the roots (scalp) to the tips, then comb or scrunch. It will create a barrier of sorts, preventing moisture loss, helping prevent fading and preserving shine.
Do you want to learn how to make your hair shinier? In this video I teach:
Fernanda Rodrigues: hydrated locks
The salt present in sea water and the chemicals added to pool water remove the natural oil, responsible for protecting hair, causing dryness and the famous yellow/greenish color of blondes. I recommend investing in hair masks enriched with oils and proteins (like keratin) and amino acids. This approach helps ensure hydrated, strong, matte and porosity-free hair.
Anitta: soft locks
To maintain beauty and softness, we recommend using a CC Cream with thermal protection before exposure to the sun, sea water or pool chlorine. After diving, it is essential to wash your hair, favoring hydrating products.
Another tip is to take care of it before going to bed: with damp or dry hair, apply an intensive nourishing serum, it can be based on macadamia and castor oil, which helps to deeply nourish the hair, and promotes softness and shine . Go from length to ends; no rinsing is necessary.
Vitória Strada: abbreviated date
You know those ends that look damaged even when finished? Well, they are a clear sign that the time has come to carry out maintenance on the cut. Dryness, split ends and brittle strands indicate that the ends are compromised and need to be removed. Furthermore, maintenance is an opportunity to renew the look.
