Gingerbread plate – the best choice for dessert lovers

Gingerbread dish

Preparation time: 1h30 (+2h in the fridge)

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty level: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 3/4 cups milk (tea).
  • 1/2 cup (tea) honey
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder
  • 1 tablespoon clove powder
  • 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing and flouring
  • 2 cans condensed milk, pressure cooked for 30 minutes
  • 2 packs of cream (400g)
  • 1/2 cup chopped cashews
  • 1/2 cup chopped Brazil nuts
  • 200g melted semi-sweet chocolate

Preparation method:

  1. In a blender, beat the condensed milk, milk, honey, sugar, chocolate, cloves and cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Transfer it to a bowl and mix the flour and yeast with a spoon.
  3. Pour into a greased and floured 22cm x 30cm baking pan and bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Leave to cool, crumble with your hands and set aside.
  5. Mix half the cooked condensed milk with half the cream and chestnuts.
  6. Spread into a medium baking dish and cover with the crumbled cake.
  7. Mix the chocolate with the remaining cream and spread over the cake.
  8. Decorate the surface with the remaining cooked condensed milk, using a piping bag fitted with a nozzle.
  9. Store in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
