Irresistible Italian straw cake

Preparation time: 35min (+2h in the fridge)

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty level: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk (tea)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 pack of cornstarch biscuits (300g)
  • Crushed cornstarch biscuit to decorate

Brigadier

  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 can of cream (300 g)

Preparation method:

  1. For the brigadeiro, place the semisweet chocolate, condensed milk, and butter in a pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  2. Turn off the heat, add to the cream and set aside.
  3. In a deep dish, mix the milk with the vanilla essence and pass the cornstarch biscuit into the mixture.
  4. To assemble, make layers of moistened biscuit and brigadeiro in a 22cm diameter springform pan, lined with aluminum foil, until the ingredients are used up, finishing with the brigadeiro.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  6. Unmold, unmold, decorate with crushed cornflour biscuits and serve.
