Meet Xartrux, a Brazilian cat that could enter the Guinness Book of Books as the largest in the world

1.30 meters tall and weighing more than 10 kg, the cat is of the Maine Coon breed, famous for its gigantism.

A Brazilian cat could enter the Guinness Book of Books as the largest in the world: its name is Xartrux, the cat is six years old, is 1.30 meters long and weighs more than 10 kilos. He is one Maine Coons, considered the largest domestic cat breed in the world. Despite its size, which can be frightening, a characteristic of this type of feline is its docility.

Coming directly from Jaú, in the interior of São Paulo, Xartrux and his guardians Márcia Oliveira and Jean Martins participated in the Meeting with Patricia Poeta on the morning of Thursday 7. In the program they said that they registered on the Guinness portal in January, and are now waiting for the publication to return to schedule the official measurement of the animal’s size.

According to the owners, Xartrux was the smallest puppy in his litter, weighing just eight grams. Seeing him achieve above-average growth was a surprise to the couple, who have about 50 cats at home, including fosters and rescues.

In the video below, recorded in 2022 by tutors, Xartrux was already 1.26 meters tall. I wait:
