The brewmaster explains how to combine this drink with the typical dishes of the time
A table full of fish and seafood, but also egg-based chocolates, bars and chocolates for dessert, are some of the classic Easter lunch foods. But when it comes to what to serve in glasses, doubts arise. After all, with the thermometer still showing high temperatures and beer culture predominant among Brazilians, which style should you choose?
To facilitate the choice at this time of year, the master brewer Thiago Tinoco, of Mad Brew Tap & Steak House, in Ipanema, offers craft beer pairings with fish, seafood and even chocolate. Look down!
1. White Chocolate and Freak Lab
An excellent dessert based on chocolate white, like a cake or mousse, goes very well with a sour beer. This is because the soft sweetness of white chocolate goes well with the acidity of fruit and beer, while the creamy texture of the mousse or tart contrasts with the effervescence and acidity of the acid, creating a balanced combination of flavors and consistency.
two. Shrimp AND wittier
A great match for beer wittier It’s a shrimp curry with coconut rice recipe. It pairs well with this dish for its citrus and herbaceous notes. The lightness and freshness of the beer cuts through the creaminess of the coconut milk and the subtle heat of the curry, while its effervescent characteristics cleanse the palate between bites. A suggestion is to use fresh coriander in the preparation of the dish to integrate the nuances of the spices present in the beer, creating a balanced and delicious combination.
3. Cod AND NEIPA
Pairing cod with a NEIPA (New England IPA) can be an interesting combination, as it is known for its smoothness, silky body and fruity aroma, which can complement the soft, delicate flavors of cod. cod. We suggest trying a cod dish cooked with potatoes, olives and oil accompanied by a NEIPA for a different gastronomic experience.
