The park maintains the tropical environment in Germany, even in winter

In Germany, 40 km from the capital Berlin, in the state of Brandenburg, it is possible to go to the seaside at any time of the year, including winter.

The fact is that, even if the temperature is negative during the coldest season of the year, there is a park, set up in a gigantic warehouse, which maintains the heat, in a typical tropical environment.

This is the Tropical Islands Park, created to offer leisure options to those who don’t particularly like the freezing climate.

The Park has 660 thousand square meters in which the lush landscape is cared for down to the last detail.

The environment combines beach and forest, with a temperature around 26ºC.

For those who want to enjoy the beach, sun loungers are available. And with the sand and everything.

The water is neither hot nor cold. It is pleasant for general tastes.

The iron-framed ceiling is 107 meters high.

The sky is artificial. Blue with white clouds to give the appearance of a natural area.

And the greenhouse always ensures a pleasant climate for visitors.

The park has more than 600 types of plants typical of places with a tropical climate that make up a splendid landscape.

There are also fruit trees, which produce starfruit, bananas and papayas, which can be harvested.

And all this vegetation has one advantage: there are no mosquitoes. Nobody needs to use repellent.

The park is also home to beautiful bird species, including chicks that are born there. golden pheasants (photo), macaws, flamingos. And in the park there are also some puppies that were born there. Natives!

The park receives 1 million visitors a year.

In order for visitors to have the comfort of a mild temperature, the park consumes a lot of energy.

So every year the park uses the equivalent of the electricity consumed annually by 4 thousand homes.

There is a sector called the Amazon, in honor of the forest which is considered one of the lungs of the planet.

They are heated pools of water in the shape of rivers.

And the current carries the visitors away, in a kind of toboggan. Pure fun for adults and children.
