Mapa advises consumers to immediately stop consuming the product
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) has ordered all traders, retailers or wholesalers to remove ten brands of extra virgin olive oil from their shelves.
According to the determination published last Friday (15th), the following brands will have to be removed from circulation: Land of Óbidos; Serra Morena; From Alcantara; Vincent; Olive oil Az; Almazara; Oliveiras Escarpments; Don Alessandro; Matchmaker; AND Uberaba.

Mapa advises consumers to immediately stop consuming the product, “and may request its replacement in accordance with the procedures established by the Consumer Protection Code. They can also communicate the Map via the official Fala.BR channel, informing the establishment and the address where the product was purchased.
The consumer can be refunded even if he has already opened and consumed the product. To do this it is necessary to bring with you the invoice proving that the product was sold when it was already present in the list of products that should not be sold. Those affected can also lodge a complaint with the health surveillance department of their municipality.
