The night trail to Pedra Grande is a leisure option in April


The tour in Cantareira State Park offers views of the city’s night lights

Lovers of São Paulo and nighttime nature trails, unite. On April 27, the Cantareira State Park in the Northern Zone of St. Paul hosts the XVI Edition of the Night Walk on the Pedra Grande Path.




Departing at 7pm and returning at 11pm, the tour puts visitors in touch with the Atlantic Forest and culminates with a panoramic view of the city of St. Paul from the Pedra Grande viewpoint, 1,010 meters above sea level.

The route is of medium difficulty and amounts to seven kilometers round trip. During the route, monitored by environmental educators, participants will learn the main curiosities about the local fauna and flora.

To participate it is recommended that you wear closed shoes, trousers, a sweater and bring a bottle of water and a flashlight, as there is no lighting.

Participants in the Night Walk will need to meet at the Horto Florestal Visitor Center, near the Park’s football field, where the tour will begin.

When? April 27, from 7pm to 11pm.

How much? R$120 (full) and R$60 (half). Registration via the website.

Where? Cantareira State Park – Rua do Horto, 931 (R$ 15 to park on Avenida José Rocha Viana, 62). There are buses to get there that leave from Terminal Santana and the Tucuruvi metro, they are: 2020/10 Metrô Tucuruvi – Horto Florestal (terminus); Santana Metro 1018/10 – Vila Rosa; and 1775/10 Metrô Santana – Vila Albertina.
