Dulce de leche, a classic of Minas Gerais cuisine, has conquered the palates of several Brazilian states. Versatile, we find it in a creamy version, in pieces and also with complementary ingredients, such as coconut. Additionally, it serves as a filling for cakes, honey bread and other recipes. Sweet creamy milk

ingredients

  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 500 g of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation method

Add the sugar and milk to a saucepan and heat over a low heat, stirring constantly, until it boils. Add the bicarbonate of soda and continue stirring so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. When the candies begin to detach from the bottom of the pan, turn off the heat. Mix with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes and transfer to a container with a lid. Serve immediately.

Coconut milk jam

ingredients

  • 2 l of milk
  • 4 teacups of sugar
  • 200g freshly grated coconut

Preparation method

In a pan, add the sugar and milk and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the milk boils and reduces. Lower the heat and stir until the cake starts to separate from the bottom of the pan. Then turn off the heat, add the coconut and transfer to a serving plate. Wait for it to cool and then serve.

Milk chocolate jam

ingredients

  • 2 liters of milk
  • 2 teacups of sugar
  • 1 cup of tea cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation method

Place the milk, sugar, cocoa and bicarbonate of soda in a pan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it no longer sticks to the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat, transfer the sweets into a container with a lid and serve immediately.

Preparation method

Add the milk and sugar to a saucepan and heat over a low heat, stirring occasionally, until it starts to separate from the bottom of the saucepan. Turn off the heat, transfer the Sweet in a pan greased with butter and, when it is lukewarm, cut it into squares. Remove the cakes from the mold and serve immediately.

Add the grated coconut and, little by little, the powdered milk and mix until you obtain a smooth consistency. Transfer the sweets to a container with a lid and serve immediately.
