Bruna Rosa was hospitalized at the 23rd week of pregnancy after receiving an unexpected diagnosis about her pregnancy
Summary
Bruna Rosa’s story moved the team at the Santo Antônio Hospital, in Blumenau (SC), where she received specialist care for 79 days. At the twenty-third week of pregnancy, Bruna and Leônidas saw the birth of Hanna on April 13.
The story of Bruna Rosa, mother of little Hanna, moved the team at the Santo Antônio Hospital in Blumenau (SC). Admitted on January 31, Bruna spent 79 days in the institution waiting for her first daughter.
At the 23rd week of gestation and on the eve of her 29th birthday, Bruna was diagnosed with sac rupture – when the membrane, formed by amnion and chorion, which protects the baby and holds the amniotic fluid inside the uterine cavity breaks, without the pregnant woman being able to do so, the woman is in labour.
“There were many times when I thought I wouldn’t become a mother. I thought the years would pass and all I would taste was the taste of pain and sadness. But my husband and I decided to trust in God and not give up on finding the cause and treating it. Thank God we were able to begin treatment and monitoring of a high-risk pregnancy,” Bruna said in an interview with the ND+ portal.
According to the hospital team, Bruna received specialized support from doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists and nutritionists.
“From the beginning of her hospitalization we were aware that there was very little chance of the pregnancy progressing due to her water breaking, but we firmly believed that Hanna would be the fruit of many prayers,” said the new mother.
To capture the moment, volunteer photographer Lukinha Arruda did a photoshoot with Bruna and her husband when she was 31 weeks pregnant.
Hanna was due to be born in the 34th week of gestation. The little one came into the world on April 13, at 10:08 am, weighing 2,185 kg, via cesarean section. The family is already home and everyone is fine.
“It was a mix of feelings at that moment, because we knew there would be a possibility of being admitted to the NICU, but when I heard her cry and she came straight into our arms, I could relax and enjoy every moment . Today he is here in our arms, without needing hospitalization, he is our little miracle,” said his father, Leônidas.
