The chef’s advice: what to serve when you have guests at home

I love hosting at home, but we always have that dilemma of “what to prepare”, after all we want to attend the event and not spend all our time in the kitchen.

Cold table

I love preparing a good charcuterie board, with different cheeses, sausages, cured ham and fruits such as grapes, strawberries, cherries, figs, which are great options. Dried fruit such as apricots and nuts, such as cashews, are also very welcome. The flavor of the fruit with the cheeses is perfect.

guacamole

I also love making guacamole, the combination of avocado with chopped red onion, chilli, tomato and lots of olive oil is perfect! A refreshing and nutritious aperitif.

Cakes

A chicken pie or quiche are also excellent allies. Prepared in advance, they can be served cold.

Salad

Cheese and tomato salad is always a good option. I like to use buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes, pesto and to accompany a basket of bread.

Set table

For dishes, opt for different shapes and heights and use cups to increase the height if you don’t have these different dishes.

How about putting these ideas into practice in your home this weekend?
