The carrot cake most loved by Brazilians, in the version to be made with the Airfryer

Recipe for 2 people.

Classic (no restrictions), Lactose free, Vegetarian

Preparation: 00:50 + cooling time

Interval: 00:30

TOOLS

1 colander(s), 2 bowl(s), 1 wire whisk, 1 frying pan(es), 1 cutting board(s), 1 potato peeler (optional)

EQUIPMENT

fryer + blender

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

Ingredients CARROT CAKE IN THE FRYER

– 1 medium-sized raw carrot, peeled and cut into slices

– 1/2 cup(s) oil + a little to grease the pan (or oil)

– 2 units of eggs

– 1 cup(s) wheat flour + a little for dusting the pan

– 1 cup(s) sugar (or demerara sugar)

– 1/2 tablespoon(s) of chemical yeast

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate all ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  2. The recipe for 2 people fits in a 4 liter Airfryer in a 20cm diameter and 6cm high pan. If you need to prepare multiple portions, place them in the tray(s) of a size compatible with your equipment and divide the preparation in the Airfryer, cooking one cake at a time.
  3. Wash and peel the carrot and cut it into medium slices.
  4. Sift the wheat flour into a bowl.
  5. Grease a mold with oil and sprinkle with flour.
  6. Preheat the Airfryer to 160ÂșC.

PREPARATION:

Carrot cake in the Airfryer – preparation of the dough:

  1. In a blender, blend the carrot slices with the oil to break them up.
  2. While whisking, add the whole eggs, one at a time, until you obtain a smooth mixture.
  3. Add the sugar and beat to combine.
  4. Transfer the dough into a bowl and, with the help of a wire whisk, gradually add the flour.
  5. Finally add the yeast and mix to combine.

Carrot cake in the Airfryer – cooking:

  1. Place the dough in the already buttered and floured pan.
  2. Place the pan in the Airfryer basket and close the drawer.
  3. Bake at 160°C for 30 minutes or if you test with a toothpick it comes out clean.
  4. Remove the cake from the Airfryer and shake the pan lightly to see if the cake loosens.
  5. Leave to cool and turn out onto a serving plate.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve the carrot cake in the Airfryer sliced.
  2. Cover with chocolate syrup of your choice (optional).
  3. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
