Learn more about new 2024 restaurants in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa
It happened on April 18, at Cover the announcement ceremony of the new starred restaurants Michelin from the Florida, destination which now has 26 starred restaurants, seven more than in 2023. Among the new features, nine restaurants have received one star and two have received the green star, an award that recognizes establishments that stand out for sustainable practices: these are the first Florida restaurants receive the Green Star distinction.
OR Joël Robuchon’s Atelier , in Miami, was the only one on the list with two stars. Another 16 restaurants retained one star. Of the shelves, four are Orlando homes, three of You love me and two of Cover. The highlight this time was the Asian cuisine: five of the nine awarded restaurants have a Japanese or Vietnamese influence. There is also a Peruvian cuisine restaurant on the list. Orlando
Camilla
To the Camilla, French techniques are applied to Vietnamese ingredients and flavors by chef Tung Phan. There are two types of experience: the ten-course tasting menu is offered at the counter, while a reduced version is served at the tables. Much of the menu highlights seafood, but one of the stars is dessert, which is a sweet potato brioche topped with “golden” chocolate ice cream and Vietnamese coffee sauce.
Natsu
Exclusive and intimate, there are only twenty diners per night at the Natsu, with two ten-seater seats around the counter. The restaurant is an omakase, a type of Japanese restaurant where the chef suggests to customers what is best and freshest every day.
Father Lama
At first glance, the Peruvian Papa Llama seems like a very simple restaurant, but the cuisine is exquisite. The restaurant serves modern Nikkei cuisine, with the typical fusion of Peruvian and Japanese elements. The tasting menu features dishes such as nigiri and bok-choy (Chinese chard). One of the strong points is the wine list, made up only of natural labels, with the possibility of pairing them with dishes.
Victoria & Albert
The restaurant is located at the Grand Floridian Resort, which is located within the Disney complex. Inspiration comes from various corners of the world for chef Matthew Sowers: from New Zealand to the Nordic countries. In an intimate setting, contemporary cuisine is offered with bold dishes, such as a Bordeaux sauce based on cherry Coca-Cola.
Kaya (Green Star)
Kaya was the only restaurant there Orlando receive a green star. That’s because 90% of the ingredients come from Florida farms, and the restaurant also promotes a minimal waste policy. While the ingredients are American, the cuisine is Filipino-inspired, with a seasonal menu that changes based on each season’s freshest ingredients.

Between us
Contemporary cuisine is served à la carte only during dinner hours at EntreNos. The menu changes seasonally with what is freshest each season. The place is small, but chefs Evan Burgess and Osmel Gonzalez employ top-notch culinary techniques.
Ogawa
Another omakase on the list, the Ogawa is led by Japanese chef Masayuki Komatsu. First, hot dishes are served, with unusual options, such as a dish prepared with eel meat. Then come the cuts of nigiri, with the freshest fish of the day.
Shingo
Another representative of Japanese cuisine, Shingo is managed by the chef who gives his name to the restaurant, Shingo Akikuni. Also functioning as an omakase, the counter can accommodate fourteen diners and almost all the fish served comes directly from Japan: everything depends on seasonality.
Cuisine Los Félix/Krüs (Stella Verde)
The contemporary and Mexican-influenced restaurants Los Félix and Krüs Kitchen are located at the same address and have a kitchen led by chef Sebastián Vargas, who has stood out for his sustainable initiatives – such as partnering with local producers who practice MILPA cultivation and with harmony between vegetables.
OR Los Felix, located on the ground floor, it already boasted a Michelin star and has now been awarded the green star. The environment is described as lively, where the chef promotes the best of Mexican cuisine.
Upstairs, the Krus Kitchen has the Green Star as its first star. Salads, fancy sandwiches and vegetable dishes are served there.
Cover
Well
A unique tasting menu is served at Ebbe, a contemporary cuisine restaurant led by Ebbe Vollmer. The chef’s Swedish origins are evident through the influence of the menu, with several Scandinavian elements. The platings are true works of art.
Kosen
Another omakase to put on the list, Kōsen has a minimalist vibe and a counter led by chef Wei Chen. Hot dishes, such as tempura-fried kamasu, are served first, followed by nigiri. The style is quite traditional, but elegant.
