Ingredients for the Airfryer chicken skewer
– 600 g boneless chicken breast cut into cubes (or chicken breast)
– 2 tablespoons of oil (or olive oil)
– 2 cloves of garlic, grated
– 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil (optional)
– 1 teaspoon(s) of sweet paprika b. C
– 1 teaspoon(s) of turmeric B
– Salt to taste
– pepper to taste B
Ingredients TO ASSEMBLE:
– 16 units of white chives
– 8 piece(s) of cherry tomatoes
– 8 x BBQ Skewers
– 6 sprigs of fresh rosemary
PREPARATION:
- Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
- Start by marinating the chicken and boiling the spring onions (see preparation).
- Take your BBQ skewers and measure the size of your Airfryer basket, cut a little to fit if necessary. Place them on a plate and cover them with water to avoid burning them during cooking.
- Soak the rosemary sprigs (optional) next to the skewers.
- Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes, leaving them whole.
PREPARATION:
Chicken – Marinate (do this step during pre-prep):
- Bone it on a cutting board (if you didn’t buy it boneless) and clean the chicken breast of all visible fat.
- Cut the chicken breast into cubes of about 3 cm.
- Peel the garlic clove and grate it (if you prefer, chop it very finely).
- In a bowl, place all the marinade ingredients (oil or olive oil, toasted sesame oil (optional), grated or minced garlic clove, paprika, turmeric, salt and pepper) and mix well.
- Place the chicken in the baking dish with the marinade and cover it well.
- Cover with cling film and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Next, boil the spring onions.
Chives – cooking (do this step during pre-preparation):
- Wash the chives. You don’t need to peel it for cooking.
- Place them in a pan, cover them with cold water and salt them.
- Place over high heat and when it boils, lower the heat to medium.
- Cook until al dente.
- Continue pre-preparation (step 3).
Chives – continued:
- Check the cooking of the spring onions.
- Drain, leave to cool slightly.
- Peel and reserve.
Airfryer Chicken Skewers:
- Preheat the Airfryer for 3-5 minutes at 180°C.
- Remove the skewers from the water – do not dry them.
- Assemble the skewers in the following order: 1 chicken cube, 1 pearl onion, 1 chicken cube, 1 cherry tomato, 1 chicken cube, 1 pearl onion, 1 chicken cube.
- Arrange the skewers in the Airfryer basket preheated to 180ºC, without overlapping them – depending on the quantity, divide them into several parts.
- Place the rosemary sprigs between them (optional): they serve to flavor the chicken while it roasts.
- Close the Airfryer drawer and bake for 10 minutes, open the drawer and turn the skewers.
- Close again and cook for another 5-8 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and golden: this time depends on the size of the chicken cubes and the power of your equipment.
- Remove the drawer and discard the rosemary sprig or sprigs.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Reorder the chicken skewer(s). on a serving plate or, if you prefer, distribute it on plates, along with side dishes of your choice.
