According to him, three weeks later the pain disappeared completely and he assured: “I’m fine”, but the fear was alarming. “In my case I didn’t need hospitalization, thank goodness! But the pain was intense. They swung with a sensation of shock, of needles, of burning, of burning, of punching,” he said.
“Herpes zoster is caused by the same virus as chickenpox. If you had chickenpox during childhood, the virus does not disappear, it remains dormant in our body and can recur in adulthood taking advantage of an episode of decreased immunity, such as in my case, either stress or even depression. Normally this disease affects people who are over fifty and there are also people younger than me who suffer from it”, explains Tiago.
