And three heads are better: 6 trios of unforgettable actors in the cinema

The plot of the comedy series “Criminal Good”, which can already be watched in the KION online cinema, is built around an ordinary janitor, Uncle Lesha (Timofey Tribuntsev), who sweeps the yard every morning from an orphanage in a small town. True, this uncle Lesha has a secret: at night he is also busy – he robs the houses of rich and not entirely honest citizens, so that he can then give the loot to unfortunate orphans. Things go quite well for Uncle Lesha, and he remains above suspicion for a long time, until the day when three wards of the orphanage (played by Elizaveta Khomyakova, Grigory Dudnik, Khetag Khinchagov) reveal his secret. The concierge, taken by surprise, has no choice but to take the teenagers as accomplices. However, committing noble crimes with the participation of hooligans will not be as easy as before – Fang, Plump and Masha, as the young companions are now called, turn the life of their older comrade upside down.

“The dog Barbos and an unusual cross”, 1961

Even those who have never seen this short comedy from the 60s, directed by Leonid Gaidai, probably know its main characters Cowardly, Dunce and Experienced very well. Such a different trio of crooks appeared more than once in other works of the director, including in the cult films “Operation Y” and “The Further Adventures of Shurik” and “The Prisoner of the Caucasus or the New Adventures of Shurik.” The roles of charming thugs were invariably played by Georgy Vitsin, Yuri Nikulin and Evgeny Morgunov. The awkwardness, narrow-mindedness and unique charm of the troublemakers were so appreciated by the public that the images of the coward, the dunce and the seasoned were firmly rooted in Russian culture.

“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, 2002

Ordinary British schoolchildren Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint woke up as real stars after the release of this film, because they played the role of the main characters, embodying on the screen the images of three young wizards and best friends – the gifted orphan boy Harry Potter, the excellent exemplary student Hermione Granger and the simple and good-natured Ron Weasley. They all began their acting careers as children and grew into the public eye as new installments of the film franchise were released. After participating in the fantasy saga, all three continued to act in theater and cinema, but for many viewers, Radcliffe, Watson and Grint will forever remain that same trio of Gryffindor friends.

“Return”, 2003

The debut film of Andrei Zvyagintsev, who received the Golden Lion – the main prize of the Venice Film Festival. The plot centers on two brothers and their father, who suddenly returns after many years of absence and decides to take the boys with him on a hike. The boys, who only recognize their father’s visit through photographs, set off on an intense journey with a man they barely know. This difficult, intense and in many ways dangerous adventure completely changes the brothers, their relationships with themselves and each other. The main roles in this film were brilliantly performed by Konstantin Lavronenko, Ivan Dobronravov and Vladimir Garin.

“Charlie’s Angels”, 2000

Mysterious, breathtaking and very dangerous: in the early 2000s, female special agents played by Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore excited many minds. In this fun action-adventure film, three pretty girls, who are actually highly trained and heavily armed members of a super secret elite special forces unit, catch the bad guys. Their arsenal includes cutting-edge espionage devices, mastery of martial arts and, of course, uncommon charisma. The new task that this trio will have to work on will require maximum dedication and insight, because the Angels will have to fight with real villains.

“Dreamers”, 2003

A romantic drama by Bernardo Bertolucci, which revealed to the world the talent of Eva Green. The action takes place on the eve and during the month of May 1968, which changed the history of France and became known as “Red May”. The young American Matthew comes to study in Paris and meets a mysterious couple his age who share his passionate love for cinema. The guy and the girl report that their parents have left and therefore the apartment is completely free. After temporarily moving in with his new acquaintances, Matthew begins to immerse himself in the world of art, forbidden pleasures and sometimes cruel psychological experiments. The main roles starred Michael Pitt, Louis Garrel and the beautiful debutante Eva Green.
