Strawberry meringue with cream: just a few ingredients, ready to prepare – even those who don’t know how to cook can make it

Recipe for 2 people.

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

CHANTILLY ingredients:

– 100 ml of fresh, iced cream

– 2 tablespoons sifted sugar (or icing sugar)

– vanilla essence to taste (optional)

STRAWBERRY MERINGUE Ingredients:

– 35 g of small meringue, or enough for assembly

– 1/2 unit lemon – or enough for whipping (or lemon)

– 400 g of strawberries, sliced

Ingredients TO DECORATE:

– mint to taste (leaves)

– small meringue of your choice, crumbled

PREPARATION:

  1. Store the fresh cream in the refrigerator until you are ready to whip the whipped cream. Do not use whipped cream mixtures, the result is very different.
  2. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  3. The suggested quantities are exact, so there will be no leftovers, as it is a dessert that does not taste good if kept in the refrigerator for many hours.
  4. Wash the strawberries, dry them, remove the stalk and cut them into slices.
  5. Wash the lemon and set it aside.
  6. Wash the mint, remove the leaves and set it aside on absorbent paper.
  7. Sift the sugar or icing sugar.

PREPARATION:

Chantilly cream (prepare up to 2 hours in advance, keep cold):

  1. Place the cold cream in the bowl of the food processor and beat until thickened.
  2. Add sifted sugar or icing sugar and vanilla essence.
  3. Continue beating until you reach consistent peaks.
  4. Store covered and refrigerated until ready to assemble.

Strawberry meringue – Assembly (up to 1 hour before serving):

  1. Choose a container in which you can make at least 3 layers for assembly: it can be a deep plate, 1 large bowl or individual bowls.
  2. Divide the ingredients proportionally, based on the number of layers.
  3. Arrange a portion of meringues on the bottom.
  4. Cover with a portion of whipped cream, sprinkle a little lemon zest and arrange a portion of strawberry slices on the surface.
  5. Repeat the assembly, forming the 2nd layer.
  6. On the last layer, distribute the remaining whipped cream, lemon zest and strawberry slices.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve the strawberry meringue in the assembly containers.
  2. Crumble some meringues on top.
  3. Decorate with mint leaves.
