What to do?
“In these types of situations, parents must address the behavior in a serious but educational way. You should never underestimate the situation or its impact. It is important that the child understands the effects of his attitude, but this is the type of behavior something that is taught much more by example than by correction itself, both must be used”signals.
During correction, the specialist recommends an educational method proportionate to the child’s age, but does not recommend physical punishment, preferring to focus on learning: “Punishment must occur to convey the seriousness of the behavior and that this occurs both for those affected and for the child himself”.
How to avoid racist acts?
According to Nascimento it is necessary to be a role model in everyday life. “Parents must teach their children at home from an early age. The child’s brain, especially in the first years of life, learns much more through example and repetition, so it is necessary to use these methods.
