Delicacy came up with the idea of reusing uneaten tortillas for breakfast in several countries
Google was born this Thursday 23rd with a tribute to chilaquiles, a typical Mexican dish, made with tortillas cut into pieces and served with avocado and a Mexican salsa-type sauce, which can contain green or red peppers, more or less spicy.
The word Chilaquiles comes from the Aztec language Nahuatl and means “peppers and vegetables”.

In addition to Mexico, in several countries the corn-based tortilla is often eaten for breakfast or as an afternoon snack. Chilaquiles were born with the idea of using leftover tortillas and sauces. The dish is usually served with fried or scrambled eggs, shredded meat, beans or cheese.
The image of the delicacy appears on Doodle, Google’s interactive illustration, displayed on special dates to honor people, historical events or other important topics, including gastronomy. On this occasion, the search engine letters are customized to that date.
