Indeed, this recipe is a great dessert option for parties and family gatherings. With a different and captivating flavour, the preparation method allows you to make up to 10 portions in a beautiful presentation! Check the preparation method below:
Romeo and Juliet Canjica
Time: 1h (+1h rest) (+2h in the fridge)
Performance: 10 servings
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 2 cups corn per hominy
- 1 cup (tea) sugar
- 1 cup milk (tea)
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 200 g grated standard Minas cheese
- 1 cup creamy guava paste 1/2 cup (tea).
Preparation method:
- Place the hominy in a bowl, cover with water and leave to macerate for 10 hours.
- Drain them, place them in a pressure cooker and cover them with water.
- Cover and cook for 30 minutes, over low heat, when it starts to sizzle.
- Turn off and open the pot after all the pressure has released.
- Add the sugar, milk, condensed milk and cook for another 5 minutes or until softened.
- Turn off the heat and add the grated Minas cheese.
- In individual bowls, create a layer of creamy guava paste on the bottom and a layer of hominy on top.
- Store in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
