According to the publication, the Portuguese ace would use botulinum toxin, botox, to increase the size of his penis. The strangeness caused by this information is not surprising. Although botulinum toxin is widely used in medicine, Dr. Roni Fernandes, vice president of the Brazilian Society of Urology (SBU), says there is no scientific evidence that botulinum toxin can enlarge the penis.
“The indications of botulinum toxin are found in the musculature, as well as in the face. The penis is not a musculature, it has no muscle,” says the urologist.
According to him, this region of the male body is very sensitive and an application of Botox can lead to infections, lump formation and even scarring. As a spokesperson for the institution, he excludes any injection intended to increase the member.
Botox for aesthetic purposes
Despite the leadership of the Brazilian Society of Urology, dermatologist Mônica Aribi argues that applying botox to the penis brings aesthetic benefits, such as correcting the deviation of the limbs.
“The substance can be applied to the shaft of the penis and, with its relaxation, the deviation of the penis becomes less noticeable,” explains the doctor.
Biomedical Eloa Boccia, a specialist in aesthetic health, also says that there are already studies on the application of the toxin in the scrotal region. “For aesthetic purposes only,” she reiterates.

“The application has to be careful, not to compromise the erection itself,” he says.
