Find out more about Portillo

Portillo is synonymous with the iconic yellow hotel that sits at the foot of the mountains and on the shores of the Laguna de Inca. Founded in 1949, the pioneering station in South America does not have a center with restaurants, bars and shops, but it is one of the most expensive, intimate and qualified on the continent. It is no surprise that its infrastructure attracts professional teams from all over the world who train there during the Northern Hemisphere summer – and also beginners who want to take lessons at its large ski school. Those who don’t need to play sports can invest in the tubing lanes, heated outdoor pools and the hotel’s in-house cinema.

The Portillo Hotel, the only one in the station, has a swimming pool overlooking the lake, jacuzzi and cinema. But it is also possible to stay in the chalets, designed for families and groups of friends of up to eight people, at the Octagon Lodge, which has a cheaper option, or at the Inca Lodge, which functions as a hostel with shared rooms.
