5 seafood snacks for the weekend

Although many consider preparing fish dishes to be a complicated task, the truth is that they are incredibly versatile and practical to cook. Plus, many can easily be made into delicious appetizers. Therefore, we have separated 5 snack recipes to prepare at home.

Breaded prawns

ingredients

  • 400 g of cleaned prawns
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 6 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • Fry oil
  • Salt, ground black pepper and lemon juice to taste

Preparation method

Place the prawns in a container and season them with salt, black pepper and lemon juice. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes. Place the eggs, wheat flour and breadcrumbs in different containers. Then, dip the shrimp in the wheat flour, eggs and breadcrumbs. Fill a pan with enough oil to cover the shrimp and place over medium heat to reheat. Fry until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve immediately.

Calamari Dore

ingredients

  • 500 g of squid cleaned and cut into rings
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of you of wheat flour
  • 1 slice of lemon
  • Fry oil

Preparation method

Place the squid in a container and season them with lemon juice, garlic, salt and black pepper. Reserve. Pour the wheat flour into another container and season with a pinch of salt. Reserve. In a deep pan, add the oil and a slice of lemon and place over medium heat to heat. Dip the squid rings in the wheat flour and place them in the oil to fry until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on absorbent paper. Serve immediately.

Octopus skewer

ingredients

  • 2 kg of cleaned octopus
  • 8 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 3 onions peeled and cut in half
  • two tomatoes seeded and chopped
  • Salt, white wine and olive oil as needed
  • Water for cooking

Preparation method

Place the onions in a pressure cooker and place the octopus so that it is in the center of them. Cover with water and place over medium heat to cook for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat, drain the water, wait for it to cool and set the octopus and onions aside. In another pan, add the olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the garlic and brown it. Add the tomatoes, salt, white wine and octopus and cook until boiling. Boil for 5 minutes and turn off the heat. Next, place the octopus on a cutting board and, with the help of a knife, cut it into cubes, starting from the tentacles and ending with the trunk and head. Assemble the skewers between the octopus and onions and grill them on a barbecue. Serve immediately.

  • 500 g of chopped and cleaned crab meat
  • 200ml coconut milk
  • 1 onion peeled and grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 tablespoons of soup of palm oil
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt, chopped chives and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 skinless tomatoes, deseeded and chopped
  • Grated Parmesan for gratinating

Preparation method

In a large, deep pan, add the oil and heat over low heat. Add the onion and garlic and brown them. Add the crab meat and tomatoes and sauté for 15 minutes. Add the coconut milk and season with salt, black pepper and chives. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat and, using a spoon, fill the cones. Finish by sprinkling with parmesan, arrange on a baking tray and place in a preheated oven at medium temperature to brown. Serve immediately.

Potato gnocchi with prawns

ingredients

  • 150 g of wheat flour
  • 1kg of Potato peeled, cooked and mashed
  • 500 g of cleaned prawns
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 onion peeled and chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 100 g of unsweetened cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt, olive oil and ricotta to taste
  • Fry oil

Preparation method

In a pan, add the olive oil and place over medium heat to heat. Add the onion and garlic and brown them. Add the prawns and lemon juice and sauté for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside. Place the corn flakes and breadcrumbs in the blender and blend until you obtain a crumbly mixture. Reserve. Place the potatoes, butter and wheat flour in a container and mix until you obtain a smooth mixture. Then, with a spoon, take some dough and flatten it in the palm of your hand. Fill with shrimp and cream cheese and form into a ball. Repeat the operation with the rest of the dough and pass it in the beaten breadcrumbs. Reserve. In a pan, add the oil and place over medium heat to heat. Gradually add the dumplings and fry until golden brown. Arrange on a container with absorbent paper and serve immediately.
