Typically, these spaces feature a neutral color palette, such as white, gray and black, combined with natural tones and materials such as stainless steel, glass and wood.

The kitchen in this project starts from a current trend: integration with the rest of the social space. Júlia Guadix worked with the same Humor of the rest of the apartment, favoring light tones. “This sober and versatile palette is characteristic of contemporary style and caters to different profiles. We have a lot of grey, white and we warm them up with woody elements,” he recalls.

2. Industrial style

Another approach widely used today is the industrial kitchen, which incorporates elements such as exposed pipes, exposed brick and dark metals to create an urban, contemporary look. This is the case of the kitchen of this Studio, where Júlia chose to remove the plaster ceiling, leaving the concrete of the slab bare and bringing an industrial and essential language, as well as increasing the height of the ceiling by 18 cm.

Despite having a cool style, the environment was designed to provide practicality to the resident. “In this Kitchen, we installed a U-shaped absolute gray granite countertop, which proved providential. Not only do we create a triangulation between hobsink and refrigerator, making the kitchen super functional and practical, as well as having plenty of storage space,” explains the architect.

3. Minimalist style

With clean lines, neutral colors and the absence of unnecessary decorative elements, minimalist kitchens emphasize organization and efficiency. Furniture with project The simple design and high-quality finishes contribute to an elegant aesthetic.

According to Júlia Guadix, minimalism in the kitchen also aims to maximize space and hide objects, such as appliances, to create a serene, calm environment, without excess, favoring functionality and simplicity in the daily routine. “I really like this mix of white coverings, reminiscent of the London and New York subways, with light wood. On the worktop we used white quartz with veins, reminiscent of granite,” she recalls.

4. Classic style

For those who prefer an elegant and sophisticated proposal, the classic style is a good choice In the architect’s design, the kitchen features refined details, such as plaster moldings, decorated metal handles and marble or granite countertops. Neutral tones dominate the color scheme with high-quality materials and elegant finishes.

In this kitchen, for example, the paneling and joinery have been swapped for pieces with project classic, giving a touch of charm to the environment. “We used very light joinery, with details of moldings and handles giving a classic touch. We made the most of the space, going right up to the concrete ceiling. There is virtually no visual interference, giving this continuous view and resulting in a feeling of spaciousness”, concludes the professional.
